Google AdWords Advertising Policies

Google Network is the term used for all the places that Google ads Google AdWords may appear. The network is divided into two main areas: Search and Display.

Companies around the world, and businesses of all sizes, can advertise their products, services, apps, and websites on the Google Network. To do so, simply follow a few requirements.

As Google AdWords Advertising Policies are composed of four broad areas:

  1. Prohibited Content

Content that cannot be advertised on the Google Network, such as: counterfeit products, dangerous products or services, enabling dishonest behavior, and inappropriate content.

2. Prohibited Practices

What you can't do if you want to advertise on Google: inappropriate use of the ad network, data collection and use, and misrepresentation.

3. Restricted Content

Content that the user can advertise, but with limitations: adult content, alcoholic beverages, copyrights, gambling, health and medicine, political content, financial services, trademarks, legal requirements, among other restricted businesses.

4. Editorial and technical requirements

Quality standards for ads, websites, and apps: editorial, destination requirements, technical requirements, and ad format requirements.

When Google finds content that violates one of its requirements for advertising on the Google Network, the ad may be blocked from displaying, and in the case of repeated or severe violations, the company may be prevented from advertising.

In fact, there are so many variations of restrictions that it's impossible to memorize them all. That's why our CEO, Tiago Flores Dias, made a video for you. Check it out:
