How to register your company on Google My Business

Remember at the beginning of this post when we said that the headline Google uses to promote My Business focuses on the simplicity of registering on the platform? Well, the headline couldn't be more perfect, as it truly is very simple.

Simply go to the Google My Business website and click on “Start Now”You can log in using the same login you use for Gmail or by registering a new one.

Soon after, the tab will appear “Add Your Business” where you must enter basic information, such as the name of the establishment, telephone number, address, etc.

Adding your business to Google My Business

Once this is done, Google will ask you to verify the information you provided previously and complete an authorization form to manage your business page. You'll then be directed to a screen where Google will prompt you to send a verification code to the address you provided and grant you access to the control panel.

In this panel, a red banner will appear highlighted in the upper corner of the screen with the button “Confirm now”To confirm, simply click this button and enter the code sent by Google.

This code is sent by post and can take one to two weeks.

Once you've entered the code, you'll have full access to the dashboard and can manage your information and post whenever you want.

Although it may slow down access to the dashboard a bit, the confirmation code is a way to protect your page, ensuring that only you will have access to it and the accuracy of the information that will be made available to the public.
